Repair and Rejuvenate Your Skin with Mesotherapy

One of the biggest challenges of modern cosmetology is facilitating the penetration of healthy, active ingredients into the skin. Particles of most restorative substances – like hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids – are too large to diffuse into the deeper layers of the skin. As such, the only truly effective methods of achieving penetration through the epidermal layer are microinjection and micro perforation.

Mesotherapy Toronto: The Skin Rejuvenation Technique Your Skin Needs

Conceived by the late Dr. Michael Pistor over 60 years ago in France, mesotherapy is a non-invasive technique that involves injecting the epidermal layer with high-grade active ingredients including hyaluronic acid, vitamins, antioxidants, peptides, amino acids, growth factors, and Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to rejuvenate, hydrate, lighten and tighten the skin, and treat hair loss. While it was originally used to treat a variety of medical conditions, practitioners soon realized that the mesotherapy technique was effective in treating skin conditions such as: hair loss, acne and wrinkles, and had anti-aging and skin rejuvenation effects as well.

Today, mesotherapy is used to improve the following conditions:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Acne
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Scarring
  • Sagging skin
  • Stretch marks
  • Skin tone issues
  • Thinning hair
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Alopecia

How Does Mesotherapy Work?

With mesotherapy, thousands of controlled microinjections are used to deliver active ingredients into the deeper layers of the epidermis in order to restore the skin from the inside out. The “meso cocktail”, which might include hyaluronic acid, growth factors, peptides, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or PRP, is formulated for the specific condition being treated. Any area of the body can be injected, whether it be the face, scalp, hands or thighs, - wherever the area of concern is. The technique effectively utilizes dermal redundant circulation. The skin’s blood vessels can be thought of as a complex maze that is difficult to navigate. Once meso active ingredients are delivered into the dermis, the targeted tissue will be immediately affected. The ingredients will then stay in circulation for several weeks, or sometimes as long as a month, allowing the solution to diffuse to surrounding tissue.

U225 Injector by Needle Concept

The U225 Injector by Needle Concept is the most advanced and effective mesotherapy injector currently available on the market. Mesotherapy and mesolift with this state-of-the-art device are Health Canada and FDA approved. Using pneumatic pressure (air pressure), this electric “gun” produces virtually no trauma to the skin and is nearly painless! The U225 mesogun is the perfect injector for the face, especially around sensitive areas like eyes, nose, lips, and scalp. However, it can be used all over the body. Besides being painless, the U225 gun technology is revolutionizing the combined delivery of meso cocktails and PRP to hydrate, repair, and rejuvenate skin. It can also quickly and painlessly address scarring, wrinkles and fine lines, crepey skin of the face, neck and arms, stretch marks, and hair loss.

Professional Mesotherapy Treatment Toronto

The eDermaStamp® by Dermaroller®

Fractional Mesotherapy with The eDermaStamp® by Dermaroller®, also Health Canada and FDA approved, is a new treatment that combines microneedling therapy with contemporary mesotherapy practice. Microneedling therapy also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) has been used for ages by practitioners to minimize the appearance of scars and as an anti-aging and anti-pigmentation treatment. Recently, smaller sized micro needles have been recognized for their ability to dramatically increase the bioavailability of topical treatments and further enhance their transcutaneous absorption. Fractional mesotherapy method uses the microneedling technique of micro perforation. Tiny needles create microscopic channels in the skin that maximize active ingredients’ penetration and effectiveness. The ingredients diffuse through the epidermis to exactly where they’re needed, intensely stimulating cell metabolism and regenerative processes. Studies suggest that using a skin microneedling system can increase the effectiveness of topical treatments by several hundred percent. In addition, microneedling boosts your skin's natural ability to heal itself by stimulating collagen and elastin production. This builds layers of the supporting intracellular matrix, promoting healthy, resilient skin that looks younger.

Some Common Questions About Mesotherapy

Is there a recovery time?

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure with essentially no recovery time necessary.

How many treatments are required before I see results?

U225 injector

You may look slightly red immediately after the treatment, but this will quickly subside. If your treatment was focused on a very specific area, you may experience tiny needle marks/scabs that could take 1-2 days to subside.

eDermaStamp

Expect 3-5 days of recovery time. You’ll likely experience edema (fluid accumulation) and erythema (redness). Severity will depend upon how aggressive the treatment was. Red or pink hue similar to moderate sunburn may persist for a few days. Swelling may become more noticeable on the second day. Skin should return to its normal color around the third day and swelling or any scabbing will subside.

How many treatments are required before I see results?

U225 injector

A series of 4-6 treatments are required to achieve optimal effects. An interval of 2 to 4 weeks between U225 injector treatments is typically recommended. Many practitioners also perform maintenance treatments at intervals of 6 to 12 months.

eDermaStamp

2-4 sessions, 10-12 weeks apart.

Can I combine mesotherapy with other skin treatments?

Mesotherapy can be used with additional rejuvenation treatments such as laser rejuvenation or peels. We generally advise our clients to leave intervals of at least 2-3 weeks between mesotherapy and other skin treatments for best results. At IGBeauty, we use only Health Canada approved sterile solutions/ingredients and devices.
